Death to the Yo-Yo Life

Frank CruzAllow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Frank Cruz, writer for Fat Man Unleashed (FMU). Over the years I have suffered in the same fate as many dieters. I have been living the Yo-Yo life. This is the life in which men and women repeatedly go back and forth with their inner selves, the good, the bad, the right, and wrong. I am speaking of the battle within, the race against ourselves. Much time is wasted in the pit stop in preparation to jump back in the race but for some reason people like to stay for a while.

Why should this matter? Most Americans are aware obesity has become common in today’s household and is passed down through generations. Two thirds of the American population is either overweight or morbidly obese. Many people have been stuck in a life that constantly fluctuates. Believe me, we at FMU have experienced it firsthand. FMU is on a mission to kill the negative pattern that has spread across the United States of America. We are gonna put a nail in its coffin and put a, “Death to the Yo-Yo Life” once and for all.

In August 2009 my wife surprised me with a pregnancy test that showed positive results. Unfortunately, I was told this news around the same time America was in a mortgage crisis. We lost our place of living and were forced to down grade. This inspired me to write the blog titled, “America is in a Depression but Whose Fault is that?” To be honest I fell into depression myself and I took it out on myself by eating.

I am writing this on August 12th 2010. A year has gone by from the time I lost my house and I am holding my three-month old son Robbie in my lap as I type this story. During the pregnancy it seemed as if I had more cravings than my wife did because I gained 40 pounds within those nine months. That is the exact amount of weight I gained on the first pregnancy, isn’t that ironic? I am currently weighing in at 255 pounds and about 28% body fat.

Although many others would decide to quit by now, I refuse to live and die trapped in the walls of obesity. I have never stopped dreaming and because of that I was handed the opportunity of a lifetime, six month’s sponsorship from Bistro MD. The “Number One, Physician Designed, Chef Prepared Diet Meal Plan in the United States of America” selected me. I have no doubt that I will reach my final goal of 190 pounds and I will maintain a solid and lean body for the rest of my existence.

I have been stuck in the, “Yo-Yo Life” but I am breaking the chains, knocking down the prison doors and escaping for the whole world to see a fat man become unleashed. FMU is launching a campaign called, “Death to the Yoyo Life.” This campaign will send a message to the world that it is possible for the common man or woman to transform his or her life in the comfort of his or her own home. I will only be one of many that prove this to be factual. With the help of Bistro MD and my online weight loss support community Fat Man Unleashed, I have no doubt in my mind that our goals will be accomplished. Until then, remember my face, and my name.

Power to you man! Though my fitness goals are different than yours, I can appreciate the feeling of being fed up with sliding back and forth. Like you, I’m fed up and determined to make strides forward.

I hope it works out for you, and look forward to checking back to see how you’re progressing.

Hello Frank! Good luck with all your startings. Do you know about milky tea detox days? They are quite popular in russia because they make you loose good and dont starve you. The idea is to prepare green tea in milk (2 litres) and drink it all day. Try to do it once a week.

Congrats on the new son!! That’s even more motivation for you to succeed in your goals…you are now setting an example. After years of yo-yo dieting due to the mental aspect of things, I got involved in TaeKwonDo four years ago, and it really helped me in the mental game. Not only do I have much more confidence, but self-defense skills never hurt anyone. Maybe it could work for you, too.

Definitely something I want to get into. I thought of training in martial arts, but just never took the steps to get there. I guess it’s never to late to start huh…
