Dr. Kal Loses 130 Lbs, Featured on CNN Fit Nation

Fat Man Unleashed’s resident doctor, Dr. Kal, was recently featured on CNN’s Fit Nation with Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The minute I heard about it I was excited, not only was Dr. Kal given some love for his hard work and success, but now he can help share that expertise with even more people that could benefit.

Dr. Kalvin Chinyere has been contributing his health, weight loss, and fitness knowledge to FMU for quite some time now.

Dr. Kal is a physician, weight-loss expert and ex-fat man. He is also the creator of the Don’t Go Broke Weight Loss Plan and maintains his own health blog at Dr. Kal’s Blog. He is living proof that his program works. What more proof do you need?

The CNN piece covers how Dr. Kal saw patients die from obesity related diseases and changed his life. CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta reports on his success.

Thanks Kal, and congrats.

    Thanks for the info.
I of course knew Dr. Kal (from FMU), but did not know his history.
    What a great story.
    Congrat’s to Dr. Kal!

This is a great story. Losing 130 pounds takes an amazing amount of discipline and focus. I find it interesting how he found the motivation to improve his weight. My father is a doctor so it’s easy for him and the rest of my family to see the importance of proper health practices. I very much understand how Dr. Kal saw the health issues other people had, and decided to change his habits to avoid them. I’ve done this myself after learning of the possibly outcome from my choices. Congratulations to Dr. Kal on losing the weight, and his success with his business.

I find it ironic when i see a doctor that is unhealthy, fat, sloppy and out of shape. It’s like why should I listen to you if you dont even practice what you preach.

I must say I’ve been there myself… hearing “you should lose some weight” from a doctor that is lots more overweight than I ever was. Not very motivating!

Congrats to Dr. Kal. That was a great story. He looks fabulous and so happy.
