Morning Cardio Can Boost Your Day

Today was a good day. I was actually able to get up early in the morning and perform some cardio exercise. I got up as soon as I heard the alarm clock go off. Didn’t hesitate one bit. I would normally just let the alarm keep going or would get up to turn it off on my way to the bathroom. But not today. What cardio exercise did I do today? I got on my recumbent bike for an hour.

That hour flew by. One minute I was stretching, the next minute I am getting ready to shower. I felt the muscles in my legs as I peddled for those 60 minutes. I felt super energized for the rest of the day, as though I had a pep in my step. That’s a good feeling. It’s cool because I didn’t get enough sleep, but was still able to have a high level of energy. The day flew by as well.

I am going to try and keep doing this whole morning cardio thing. I think it’s going to be a crucial part in my getting under the 300 lbs mark, and staying there. The discipline that is needed to get up extra early each morning is something that can benefit anyone. My next goal is to incorporate early morning workouts into my routine. Another good thing about working out in the morning is that by the end of the day you have recuperated your energy and are able to workout again. Two-a-days!

Today was a good day.

I’ve always been a fan of the early morning cardio. It took a while for the habit to stick though. Glad to see that it’s working out for you.

Two-a-days are great. Cardio in the morning, weights in the evening. I can only do it twice a week though. Otherwise I’m bagged.

For me it’s pretty hard to get out of bed in the morning (I usually get like 6 hours of sleep) and I don’t think that I will be able to spend an hour in the morning to work out, although in the past months I didn’t do any sports – which is a bad thing, I know 🙁

If I’d had that hour, I probably would sleep some more…

But, I’m willing to try it for about 5 min in my busy morning before going to work and see how it feels…

    Anyway, keep it up man!

    Cheers,
    Nick

I’m going to have to start a morning routine in order to get all my steps in per day.

I love to work out in the mornings! I can’t, won’t do it at any other time. I know afternoons and evenings works well for some. For me it working out at any other time builds too much energy and then I can’t get to bed until very, very late. So mornings work best for me. I feel full of energy the rest of the day and wind down just as I need to later in the evening.

I’ve recently started working out in the mornings. It’s been two weeks, about three mornings during the week. Initially started off with 20 to 25 minutes of walking, then increased it to running. It has taken me years to get into this routine, but I think I’ve finally conquered it.

There’s a treadmill in my basement. Literally I walk out of bed and head straight to my treadmill. I’m rubbing my eyes and yawning as I start my workout. I must admit my days are more energized, and sometimes I find the need to even workout in the afternoons. This is a new habit I have no intentions of changing.
