The Incredible Shrinking Fat Man

The Incredible Shrinking Fat Man of 300 lbsThat’s me. Yessiree. I am shrinking in all the right places. I noticed it over the last few days. At first I thought that maybe I was seeing things, but then it hit me once my shorts starting falling off. I have been wearing these shorts for years. I call them my red Stony Brook shorts. I got them from my head football coach when I red shirted at Stony Brook University. They were his personal shorts. Now I have them. LOL.

Anyway, so I was walking around the house and all of a sudden the shorts started falling and they felt looser around my thighs. The reason I know that I am not seeing things is because these shorts have no string. I used to be big enough to not need a string around the waist to hold them up. Now I do. Then it started happening with my other shorts too. I usually don’t need to tie my workout shorts, but now I have to. I was even tempted into trying on my goal jeans, but decided against it.

I have also been noticing that my shirts are feeling significantly looser around my chest and belly. Back in August I purchased a couple of semi-goal shirts. The plan was to be able to wear them at the time, but not be too comfortable in them. I have been wearing them recently and they feel great.

So it hit me: It’s all coming together. The working out, eating right, and staying as positive as I can (except for yesterday’s Domino’s Pizza fiasco that still has my stomach feeling bloated) is finally showing outward physical change. I have been feeling different inside for quite some time, but now I can see it.

The 40+ lbs I have lost are not being missed whatsoever.

    Feels good doesn’t it?

  2. WTG Israel!! 🙂 That is just the best, when you can tell the difference in your clothes….don’t you have a goal pair of jeans you want to get in to? I bet you’ll be in them in no time!

I’ve got a pair of shorts with no string like that too – I still wear them around the house but can’t go outside anymore because I’m always pulling them up.

    Cool graphic!

That’s awesome. I notice those same things as well. I only had 35-40 to lose in the first place but man what a difference it made in how my clothes fit.

Just wait until you need to buy a whole need wardrobe. It’s great but expensive.

    Keep it up Israel

Great job, Israel! So many folks focus on the number on the scale that they forget about simple things like the way their clothes fit.

Unfortunately for me, I don’t have an old wardrobe to “shop” from, so I have to run out every paycheck and pick up something else I need. And like Steve mentioned above, it ain’t cheap! lol

    Congrats again!
