The look on Frank’s face says it all. Frank C. was on a road trip to visit the offices of Bistro MD and Cederquist Medical Wellness Center in Naples, FL. Caroline J. Cederquist, M.D., Founder of BistroMD and Medical Director of the Cederquist Medical Wellness Center schooled Frank on what 5 pounds of fat looked like and what the difference in losing 5 lbs of fat was compared to losing 5 lbs of water weight.

About the Author

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Frank Cruz. I am a former fat man who’s almost completely unleashed. I had an appetite that could not be satisfied.     That was a very “visual” video. After looking at those 5 pounds of fat I guess anyone can be motivated to lose 5 pounds or more. So thanks for sharing!

    An important thing, I think, is to constantly measure your progress to keep motivation up. Water can be lost and gained during the day and week and that also shows on the scale, not just the fat. My tip is to weigh yourself in the morning for consistency. Also I actually use tape-measure to check my stomach area, that’s when I notice the real results. When the tape-measure show results I know that I’ve lost fat.

    Yea, exactly the stuff people need to watch and listen to. Most common mistake when dieting is people fasting or under-eating. They get that initial water weight drop due to low carb intake but after a while the weight loss stalls.
