Final Video Thoughts on Cleansing Program

I recently completed a day 30 cleanse. Someone I know recommended it with high praise so I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, losing 15 lbs and several inches around my waist in the 30 days.

While I had success with I really know that I would be able to maintain a lifestyle of drinking shakes for a large portion of my calories. I like to eat. Period. I think the 9 day cleanse is a good catalyst for dropping weight and getting your mind right, but only for that short period of time. The first two weeks were great all around. Mentally and physically I felt amazing. During the 3rd week I started getting “tired” of drinking shakes and just wanted it to be over. That is why I recommend the 9 day cleanse. The shakes taste good and fill you up, so you aren’t getting that starving feeling.

This concludes my test of the cleanse system, which is pretty pricey for some folks but it all depends on how you look at things. I’m getting back to basics, eating more fruit and veggies, taking whey protein (and eating it too), and just eating healthier overall.

I think one can get fed up of this fairly quickly. At least, I would.

  2. Sounds like a change of pace that might be easier to control for a short time. I’m with you though – I like to eat too much. πŸ™‚

Personally I wouldn’t resolve to this kind of diet. I’m not too fond of all those drinks, pills and chemicals that help you lose weight. I’d rather try out exercising more and eating more healthy to start off. Though if I’d really have to do it, I’d go with a shorter therapy.

    Israel,

I’m glad that you’ve experienced it and have discarded this quick fix approach! I don’t care how many professional athletes they use to push their product(s), folks lose weight doing _________ (enter the name of any shake based program here) because they eat less calories–period! They can go on and on about a “special delivery system” for the protein in their shakes, but until I see the research published in credible scientific journals confirming this, it’s all simply marketing hype–no different than the outlandish claims we see on weight loss products commercials every day. Oh, and if the program is based on MLM (multi-level marketing), then you better hold on to your wallet …

  5. Israel, I am glad that you are getting off the ‘stuff’, natural weight loss is cheaper and the success that you’ll feel in yourself will be amazing.

    Take care,
    Andrew

    P.S.
Have you got new Ts in? πŸ™‚

I have to agree with the others. Natural weight loss is the best and easiest way to lose pounds and to keep’em off. I have been using a diet of my own ;-). Lots of fat and less carbs. The fats are basically saturated fats from animals, fish and olive oil. The industry are really lying to us. Before I used to buy vegetable oils that are supposedly loaded with omega-3. Sure they are but did anyone tell us that we (humans) only are able to process omega-3 from meat and fish?

I personally really like Isagenix. Not everyone has time to eat properly in general or for weightloss. It is a far superior system to Jenny C, WW, Medifast etc., IMHO. What I like about Isagenix is that it encourages Organic eatings with potion control, helps replenish the body of vital nutrients, is all natural and stimulant free and is actually very affordable .
Now that I have reached a goal weight I cleanse for 9 days quarterly, that’s it. I do take Isagenix nutritionals now to keep up my energy in addition to being 100% preservative free and about 50% organic.
    I can’t recommend it enough .
Good luck to everyone outthere looking to get healthier !

Thanks for the review. I’ve always been curious as to whether the Isagenix cleanse works or not, but was never curious enough to spend the money without finding an unbiased review first. I’ve been working with the Structure House program created by Dr. Gerard Musante and that’s helping me to understand my relationship with food and the reasons why I choose to overeat. I’ve lost about 30 pounds so far, but every once in awhile I still think maybe I should at least try a cleanse and see what happens.
