A while back John from John Is Fit decided to nominate himself for a 2007 Weblog Award in the Health Issues blogs section. I copied him and nominated myself too. We were trying to see if one of our blogs would be chosen as a finalist amongst all of the commercially huge doctor, health blogs that are nominated.
John’s blog was chosen as a finalist in the Health Issues blogs category, but I wasn’t. Oh well. At least one of ours was chosen. What’s odd is that I received the most nominations in that category, then John received the second most. I was sure we would both make the Health Issues finals. I was added to the Best of the Rest category though. It’s like the bottom of the barrel. LOL. I guess you can say we both made it. I wish John luck and hope he wins. So go vote for him, and vote for me too. John should be making a post about it soon. Here’s his voting page.

Just my luck Dreamhost has been having issues with my server today, it’s running OK for the site but Feedburner is choking on the feed because it is timing out. Oh well.
I’ve already determined there is no way I can win - for one thing I can tell there is a little cheating going on as I have been getting referals from people using anonymous proxies, which I never get. Obviously someone is doing a little extra voting. And for another thing I’m going up against things like Cancer blogs, which are a tad more important than a little weight loss blog. Until I die of obesity, that is.
Yeh, i noticed that as well. Some people have way too many votes when compared to their blog alexa traffic, PR, and comments. Oh well. good luck anyway.
