Sinfully Spiced Plantains with Chocolate Sauce

PlantainsBeing that I am of Spanish decent, I love eating plantains (those banana looking things). Ever since I was a kid, my mother would cook some up with some salami or eggs and I would scarf them down. Ahhhh, the memory makes my mouth water.

Anyway, I was at Wal-Mart the other day and came across a little recipe index card that they had laying around. It was for heart-healthy plantains. I decided to incorporate my own little touch, so here goes. Enjoy it, its extremely tasty and health conscience.

Step 1. Preheat your grill at medium heat.

  6. IsraelNo Gravatar says:

well some people hate the taste. it depends on the kind of soy milk you buy. there are vanillas versions, chocolate, regular. then there are different brands. i buy Silk soy milk, regular. I have had the vanilla version and it tastes really creamy, and good.

i dont drink it it alone. my first time drinking it i didnt like it. so i started having it with cereal. now thats what i normally do and it helped me get used to it.

you do realize that your recipe here does not include soy milk right?

That sounds delicious. I love plantains! One thing you can do to make this even healthier is to replace the jarred chocolate sauce with melted 70% cacao dark chocolate. Mmmmm 🙂

  12. Mmmmm, sounds delicious! Will definately try it out!
