It’s rough as a big ten fan in the heart of the SEC. I thought it was tough being a Michigan fan living in Ohio. I was surprised to hear the Big 10 ripped almost daily here in Florida. Well now its time to pay up Gator fans! The Michigan wolverines defeated the Florida gators today and started my 2008 off just right! Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that the Big 10 is the whip or anything but all I hear every year is “The Big 10 can’t hang with the speed and talent of the SEC”.
Now I’m forced to do the unthinkable and root for the suckeyes… um buckeyes. So congrats to Lyod Carr, I for one will miss the pro style offense he ran with NFL quarterbacks like Greise and of course big Tom Brady. I think Chad Henne will do well on Sundays, but I wonder if touchdown Tim Tebow can drop back and throw the ball? He struggled passing in the bowl game.
I’d like to go on the record as not being thrilled about U of M’s new coach Rodriguez. I’m not a fan of the spread offense, and the problem for the wolverines is not scoring (see capital one bowl). I would’ve like them to hire a defensive minded coach and kept the same offense. Time will tell I’ll hope for the best.
Next post I’ll get into some NHL, NBA, and of course The NFL playoffs and my predictions. Also look for the great debate Datysuk vs Zetterberg. Hasta Pronto!!
