Tipping the Scales: 2 lbs. Lost this Week41.2 lbs LOSTso farOctober 9, 2007 by Israel Lagares | 16 comments

22 Lbs Lost So FarI can’t say I am surprised. Given the slow start I had to last week I was expecting to lose only a pound, but every little bit helps I suppose. This reminds me that I can’t slack off whenever I think that I a have accomplished something. My goal is to be at 299 lbs by November 1st and this makes me want it even more. I have about 3 weeks to lose 18 lbs.

I know I will do it. From today on I will not slack off or cheat or anything for the rest of the month. This will definitely put me on the right path. I am predicting a 5 pound weight loss next week. That’s right, 5 lbs. This should be easily attainable by eating healthy, exercising a bit more, and incorporating some new things. If I do good enough I may take Sunday off, but most likely I will not. I want to punish my body this week and teach it a lesson. If that makes any sense. It’s time to get hardcore up in this place. lol.

I am going to be lifting some weights today and then running. Both at high intensity so that I can get that pump that I love so much. If any one has any little tips or tricks that I can add to my routine, both exercise wise and daily living wise, please let me know. I am going to need every thing I can to lose the weight this month and having your help is appreciated.

Most of it is just will power, as you probly already know.

I’m glad that you got back on track and now are focusing on a goal. Great motivation.

1. Beware Western stodgy grub! You really have to work to find wholesome, untainted food these days. Anything marked ‘healthy’ probably isn’t.

2. Work the exercise into your daily routine. Exercise for its own sake is a chore. Exercise for a separate goal, like weeding the garden, is much easier.

I agree on both points.

Israel you are doing great. But six pounds a week is a lot. And you’d have to do a whole heap of exercise. Just be careful you don’t overdo it and wind up in hospital. Even at a rate of three pounds a week, you’ll still only be six weeks away from your goal.

I must do it. I need to be 299 lbs by NOV 1st. If I don’t I will feel like a failure. I will try my best to not over do it.

Only those who fail to try fail. And you are definitely trying. Good luck.

Good luck and keep with it. Remember to get excercise every day, and to drink plenty of water and lightly graze throughout the day rather than eat big meals.

Lift some extra for me since I am sick and totally frustrated that I can’t work out.

You’re going in the right direction and that is what counts. Keep doing what you have been doing and the pounds will slowly come off…

I lost 25 lbs in 2 weeks trying the lemonade diet.
It’s hard but the results are just amazing!
You should get 1/3 of it back once you come off of it.
Anyone else tried this?

    • My name is Israel. I used to be the kind of guy that was always in shape: a gym rat. But over the last few years I have fallen off tremendously. This is my final attempt to get back into shape and get to where I once was using this weight loss blog as my main tool.
