Weekly Weight Lost: 7.0 Lbs.

Weekly weight lost 7.0 lbs

Reflecting on the Week
I was mad surprised to be 305 lbs this morning. I had to double, triple, and quadruple check. 7 lbs in a week when I haven’t even been working out due to my injury… AWESOME! That puts me at half my goal for the month already. I don’t expect a big week like that next week, but I do expect a loss.

This has been a great week overall. Not just weight-wise, but in life. The week started off great and finished even better. I am officially going to break the 300 lbs. mark this month and lose the double chin. LOL. I shaved off the weird fuzzy thing the other day and noticed that I had lost a good amount of fat under my face. A pleasant surprise indeed.

I took my monthly weight loss picture but have yet to post them. I will sometime this weekend or early next week. They look okay, but I have some work to do if I want to lose the fat that has accumulated on my frame over the last few years. Aside from that I am 100% confident that I will continue to reach major milestones in my weight loss. Look at that chart…doesn’t it look suuuuhhhh weeettttt?

Reflecting on my Workouts
To be honest there isn’t much to say about my workouts this week. Much like last week, they were virtually non-existent due to my triceps injury. I tested it yesterday and am 98% healthy, so I will be back on track and lifting again. The only real workout I had was helping my brother move to a new place last Saturday. A great work out it was. Plus, I managed to make an awesome food-related video about it…

Mentally, it’s good knowing that I can stay on track with my weight loss even when I don’t workout as much as I would like. Before, I would have caved-in and pigged out, giving up and undoing all the great progress. No more…NO MORE!

Reflecting on my Nutrition
Nutritionally, I am a beast. I am 100% focused on making sure that I continue to eat healthy. There is nothing that will derail me. I do manage to eat, not too often, a desert. That is usually on Thursdays, but recently I haven’t even been craving anything. Speaking of which…Israel 4, Ice Cream 2. I win again! I just eat the usual veggies, chicken, meat beans, a sandwich, fruits, etc.

I am stoked about being 305 lbs. but I am not going to settle. I am focused and will continue to do my thing. Discipline is what I represent…

A huge congratulations for this week. I know that the injury can hold things back, but It’s great when you get unexpected news like this.

  2. Congrats on your weight loss. That is an awesome number. As far as nutrition goes, that is where I need help. I have cut down on coffee (with cream and sugar LOL) but I would like to cut back on desserts too or instead of almost naughty desserts have fruit/yogurt instead. Many changes made and still more to go.

    Keep up the great work!

PS. Such a cute video with your little one!

Thanks Angie. For me it was all about getting to the 1 month mark and forming the habit. After a month, it becomes natural to stay away from the sweets.

Wow, YOU the man! Congrats, that is absolutely awesome!

I did 4 miles on the treadmill today! I’m doing the Couch to 5K program, and I did weeks 3 and 4 back to back today — one just didn’t seem enough!

My scale isn’t moving much, but I am hanging in there.

    Awesome job buddy.

btw, Amanda (the comment above me) is a robot. I got two of that exact same email on two of my own blogs.

7 pounds in a week. Holy shit!

  10. I just came across your blog and wanted to offer some advice on letting the weight go for good. Most people focus on weight loss, but anytime you lose anything the unconscious mind want to replace it with something else.

The idea of weight release can change the way you do everything. I have helped hundreds of people release weight over the past five years and I find that almost all of them have the same thought patterns. Everybody focuses on what they don’t want. They don’t want to be overweight. They don’t want to be fat. They don’t want to be unhealthy.

What do they really want? They want to be healthy, live longer, have more self esteem and just feel good about themselves.

You must retrain your mind to focus on what you really want rather than what you don’t.

Congrats, that is an awesome week.

Isn’t it funny the correlation between being happy and being healthy. I know whenever I am in a good mood, I eat less and workout more.

  13. NicoleNo Gravatar says:

Hey great man you have lost 7 lbs without working out and facing injury. I can say that now everything is working on your fever. so keep working hard and smart. Best of luck man, hope you cross the 300 barrier in this week.

  14. LisaNo Gravatar says:

Great job! I can only aspire to be like you. I also love all of your graphics. Pretty cool and keeps people coming back. I sure hope your injury heals quickly, but still great job! (JUST like the chick from DietTribe [Lifetime Channel] she had an injury and still lost by maintaining the lifestyle she had changed to!) It gets easier to maintain the changes as we go on.

  15. Israel! Way to go on the 7 lb. drop this week! Keep it up man and a huge CONGRATS.

That is great progress! I have found the less sweets you eat the less you crave them, which makes the first few weeks tough but after that you can do without them 🙂
