@ Israel

Totally irrelevant, but I see you are running Google Adsense on your website. Does it make some money in the wealthy niche?

not really it does not. back home there was one and I loved it. I would jog around the path twice and stop and do the individual stations.

Does the park have a workout route along the paths - adding those into the walk may not get your heart rate up, but will give you a lot of muscle exercises that you would otherwise miss. Even if they don't, you can make up your own so you can spend time and get the workout. Spend some time thinking and a little creativity should help. I used to bring 5 lb weights with me on my walks and doing arm exercises over the entire walk will give you a huge workout (although you won't be able to use your arms for the rest of the day.)

Good post and good plan! We do some kind of family "get moving" activity each night and I consider it dessert to my main meal of my run or bike. It does make it more enjoyable.

My evil laugh prevails!!!

I love bike riding and used to do it often. But for now I am way too heavy and after about 15 minutes my butt starts hurting. So, for now I am off the bikes. lol.

What about bike riding? I, too, have started incorporating the family and since my husband is the fit one, it is a bit of a struggle to keep up with him. Especially considering we have a few good sized hills on our route. Altogether there are four of us. We have my son (6 years) on a trailer bike, on the back of my husband's bike, and my daughter (2years) in a bike seat, on the back of mine. Feel free to disregard the advice as you didn't necessarily ask for it.
by the way... I so knew that was your evil laugh ;)

YES! I wholeheartedly agree! I want to walk with the kids and hubby and bike with them, but they can't keep up with what I need to do to get the weight off. SO I do two workouts. One is for me, I sweat my you know what's off (that is if I HAD you know what's) and the other I consider fitness training for my family and I am the trainer. You are setting a great example, just don't let it replace your usual workout.
