Forget Your Weight, Just Stay Healthy and Active

Waddup world!!! Long time since I’ve blogged!! The tax season has me working like a maniac!! But I’m still here fighting the war!!

I am at a comfortable weight now. I weigh 220 pounds and it feels awesome. I remember when I weighed 300 pounds and I just wanted to be less than 250 pounds. Now here I am weighing in at 220.

From now on I will not worry about my weight. I will just focus only on being healthy and active. I figure if I do that there is no way I will gain the weight back, and if I lose some more weight along the way then cool.

But stay tuned because I am not finished with this battle, I am still fighting the war. By this summer I plan to walk shirtless down the beach and I will be proud of my new body!!

So keep watching people, because I ain’t finished. Mark my words, “I will put a Death to the Yo-Yo Life”.

About the Author

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Frank Cruz. I am a former fat man who’s almost completely unleashed. I had an appetite that could not be satisfied. Four years ago I stepped on the scale, and was blown away when I saw the shocking number: 298. On January 1st, 2009 I decided to make a real change and I mean, mind, body, and soul. From that day forth I was on a mission to lose this weight. Something switched deep in my subconscious; I saw myself like a new man. That’s when the real change began, when my mind and soul won the battle over my body. Today I invite you to join me on a mission to transform your lives. This is truly a difficult task, but one that can be accomplished. I know how to do this; I have the road map to success!! Come and join me, and you too can be UNLEASHED.

I spend my days sitting at some drafting tables inside an office and it seems so unhealthy to never be outside. I recently starting getting up every 30 minutes and doing a walk around the office just to be active. It truly does pay off. Great post by the way. Great to see people on the same page!

Great Idea ! The idea of staying active and healthy goes better with people looking for weight loss. Surely if one can stay active and healthy, you are bound to lose some weight atleast.

That’s a good advice. Many friends of mine (and I at one point) get really obsessed about their weight and calories. They can’t eat out without checking to see how many calories has this or that. We all want to look our best but obsessing is not the right way!

Inspiring story – love it! And you got it – it’s a lifestyle change! Forget “dieting”

    Hey Frank,

Ur video is really inspiring , i’m Mick and i work as a graphical designer in Amsterdam.
I have been doing this work for about 4 years now and i’m working 38hrs a week, plus some overtime.
When i started working there my weight was 160lbs when i started 4 years ago, now it’s 220lbs.
Before i worked there i worked as an IT Support team on a high-school with lot’s of staircases so back then i didn’t really need to worry about my weight.

I tried walking 2 or 3 times a week, just walking 1.5 hours, and taking long walks in the weekend, but my weight just keeps on 220lbs.

Do you have any tips what i could try,
I eat a healty diet, no snacks during the week.

Let me know, i would appreciate it,

    Greetz,
    Mick

I don’t know, man. Ive known people who do that and the weight starts creeping back up again. Just to be on the safe side you should at least still weigh yourself regularly, at least that way you’ll know if you’re gaining again.

  8. Yours is an inspiring story. Unless there is a deep desire, you cannot physically transform yourself. Once you attain that only then you can make a progress.

I’ve also started exercising in the morning for about an hour just to stay healthy which is more important. but if i loose some weight in the bargain it would be great

Two years ago, I was 34, overweight and have all the related problems: health problems, family problems, emotional problems…
At this very day, after 13 month of smart fitness training, not only that I have lost 54 pounds of body fat, but I also succeeded in building a lean and much stronger physique. I am in the best shape of my life and as healthy as I can be!
There is never a bad time to start a better life! We should all love life, because what more is there?

Well said, Frank. Obsessing about your weight brings you no good. It will only play tricks in your head and often times, it backfires in a very damaging way. It’s better to take it one day at a time, set a workable plan for you and do your best to stay on track. But we must not also forget to forgive ourselves sometimes, and allow the simple joys of life.

Thanks for the advice. It’s important that you are comfortable of your body and that you feel good about yourself. This is what keeps me motivated and more determined to lose some weight. It really does pay off.

    Thanks again for sharing!

  15. I think you need to be moderate in everything that you do. THat keeps an individual healthy.

  16. I think anybody can eat whatever they want as long a they do it in moderation. Going extremes to anything will risk your health.

Now, this is a realistic post and so true. Sometimes, when we are trying to lose weight, we get so caught up in the actual process of losing weight, we forget to enjoy life. Don’t make this mistake.

Thanks for the video. Really nice honest admission, which was pretty inspirational.

You keep on chugging and thats the key. We all got bad days. But each new day is a new chance to pick it up and try again. Rome wasn’t built in a day!

    Thanks for the Vid!

    Frank,

Great work! I am also trying to go from 300 to <250 and you are inspiring. I am the owner of Health Testing Centers (www.healthtestingcenters.com offering online lab testing) and spend most days at a desk. So far I have lost 25 lbs using the 4 hr body diet and trying to be more active – thinking of getting a treadmill for the house. Lifestyle change is the hardest part.

Are you using the nutrisystem diet to help maintain your weight now that you achieved your goal?

    Thanks and keep at it.
    Keith Kloss
